10. Marco van Basten
Marco van Basten is seen as one of the best strikers ever. He played his first match in 1982 for Ajax, as a substitute for Johan Cruijff. In total he scored 128 goals in 133 league matches for Ajax.
Marco van Basten is not only known for his scoring ability, but also for his precise ball control, attacking intelligence, impeccable headers and spectacular attacks and volleys. He was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 1992, winning the Ballon d’Or three times (1988, 1989 and 1992). At club level, he won three Eredivisie titles and the UEFA Cup with Ajax, three Serie A titles and two European Cups with Milan. With the Netherlands, Van Basten became European Champion in 1988, where he earned the Golden Shoe and scored five goals, including the most beautiful goal ever in a final: the memorable volley against the Soviet Union.
9. Franz Beckenbauer
While playing for Bayern Munich, he won the European Cup I three times. In 1974, as captain, he won the world championship with Germany. In 1990 he also won this World Cup with Germany as national coach. Partly because of this, Franz Beckenbauer is a football great in Germany, but also in the rest of the world.
8. Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Where did Zlatan not become a champion? From 2002 to 2012, he has been champion every year with the club where he played. In total, the counter is 13 times champion in various competitions, namely with Ajax, Juventus, Internazionale, FC Barcelona, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain. An impressive list of top clubs.
7. Alfredo di Stefano
Alfredo Stefano Laulhe is better known as Alfredo di Stefano (1926-2014). He became one of the greatest players of the 1950s.

His palmares includes winning the first five editions of the European Cup 1, the predecessor of the Champions League. 6. Bobby Charlton
Sir Bobby Charlton was a long-time top scorer for Manchester United and England. He was one of the few players to survive the 1958 Manchester United team plane crash. The attacker was three times national champion. Ten years after the disaster, Charlton scored twice in the final against Benfica and was allowed to hold up the European Cup as captain.
In 1966 Sir Bobby Charlton was part of the England squad that won the World Cup. He made an important contribution by scoring both goals in the semi-final against Portugal. Because of his performance at the tournament, he was awarded the Golden Ball. In doing so, he became the only Englishman to win the three biggest prizes in football: the World Cup, the European Cup and the Golden Ball. Many English football fans agree: Sir Bobby Charlton is the best English footballer ever.
5. Messi
Lionel Messi’s Roll of Honor is huge: 6x World Footballer of the Year, 6x Ballon d’Or, 3x European Footballer of the Year, 4x Champions League, 3x Fifa Club World Cup, 3x UEFA Super Cup and Olympic Champion. Then we haven’t even talked about the numbers in terms of Spanish Champion, Spanish Cup and Spanish Super Cup.
